Catalogue book for the exhibition "Beleza Apesar de Tudo" by architects Francisco and Manuel Aires Mateus, on view at the Serralves Museum from November 2025 to May 2026 The photographic essay is centred on the models produced specifically for the exhibition, exploring the perceptual ambiguity generated by their scale. The images alternate between a distant reading of the model as an architectural object and a more immersive gaze, in which the camera enters its spatial logic and allows its interiors to unfold as if they belonged to a larger, inhabitable condition. In this passage between object and space, photography becomes a means of spatial construction, extending the model beyond its representational function and turning it into a place that can be visually inhabited.
